Penerapan Metode Peer Teaching Pada Pembelajaran Sejarah Kelas XI di SMK Merah Putih

The purpose of this study is to examine and describe the implementation of the peer teaching method in History learning for grade XI students at SMK Merah Putih. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method with a case study approach, utilizing observation, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects consist of the History teacher and grade XI students at SMK Merah Putih. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the peer teaching method in History learning effectively enhances student engagement, strengthens subject matter comprehension, and fosters more active and collaborative learning interactions. Through this method, students act not only as recipients of information but also as peer tutors who assist their classmates in understanding the material. Furthermore, the peer teaching method positively impacts students' communication skills, teamwork, sense of responsibility, and self-confidence. Thus, the implementation of the peer teaching method makes History learning more engaging, participatory, and well-suited to the characteristics of students at SMK Merah Putih."
