Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam peran perempuan dalam industri minyak dan gas di Indonesia, dengan penekanan pada tantangan dan peluang yang dihadapi serta identifikasi peran dan jenis pekerjaan yang sesuai. Namun, partisipasi mereka masih menghadapi sejumlah tantangan signifikan, seperti stereotip gender yang kuat, kurangnya dukungan infrastruktur dan fasilitas penunjang, serta kebijakan perusahaan yang belum sepenuhnya mengakomodasi kebutuhan perempuan. Stereotip gender yang menganggap bahwa industri minyak dan gas adalah domain laki-laki menjadi salah satu hambatan utama bagi perempuan. Selain itu, kurangnya fasilitas penunjang seperti ruang laktasi, penitipan anak, dan program pengembangan karir yang fleksibel juga menjadi kendala bagi perempuan untuk berkarir di sektor ini. Meskipun demikian, terdapat sejumlah peluang yang dapat dimanfaatkan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi perempuan. Beberapa perusahaan telah mulai menerapkan kebijakan yang lebih inklusif, seperti program afirmasi tindakan, pelatihan kepemimpinan khusus untuk perempuan, dan jaringan mentoring. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa peran perempuan dalam industri minyak dan gas di Indonesia sangat penting dan memiliki potensi yang besar. Namun, untuk mencapai kesetaraan gender yang sejati, diperlukan upaya bersama dari berbagai pihak, termasuk pemerintah, perusahaan, dan masyarakat. Rekomendasi kebijakan yang dapat diambil antara lain adalah penegakan prinsip kesetaraan gender dalam semua aspek industri minyak dan gas, peningkatan kesadaran akan pentingnya peran perempuan, serta pengembangan program-program yang mendukung pengembangan karir perempuan

Abstract

This research aims to examine in depth the role of women in the oil and gas industry in Indonesia, with an emphasis on the challenges and opportunities they face as well as identifying appropriate roles and types of work. However, their participation still faces a number of significant challenges, such as strong gender stereotypes, lack of infrastructure

 

support and supporting facilities, and company policies that do not fully accommodate women's needs. Gender stereotypes that assume that the oil and gas industry is the domain of men are one of the main obstacles for women. Apart from that, the lack of supporting facilities such as lactation rooms, child care, and flexible career development programs is also an obstacle for women to pursue a career in this sector. However, there are a number of opportunities that can be exploited to increase women's participation. Some companies have begun implementing more inclusive policies, such as affirmative action programs, leadership training specifically for women, and mentoring networks. The results of this research show that the role of women in the oil and gas industry in Indonesia is very important and has great potential. However, to achieve true gender equality, joint efforts from various parties are needed, including the government, companies and society. Policy recommendations that can be taken include upholding the principle of gender equality in all aspects of the oil and gas industry, increasing awareness of the important role of women, and developing programs that support women's career development.
