Abstract
Hackathons have emerged as a dynamic platform for fostering technological innovation, collaboration, and practical learning. This study examines participant satisfaction with the JIHS Hackathon 2025, organized by Politeknik Jakarta Internasional in collaboration with Comsnet, under the theme “Innovating for a Sustainable Future.” Using a mixed-method approach, data were collected from 36 respondents through Likert-scale surveys and narrative reviews. The findings reveal that overall participant satisfaction is high (average score 4.20/5), particularly in aspects of committee readiness, teamwork, mentor guidance, and thematic relevance. However, transparency in the scoring system remains
the weakest dimension, raising concerns about fairness and clarity in evaluation. Qualitative insights further highlight the need for preparatory workshops for novice participants and post-event incubation programs to ensure continuity of innovative projects. This study concludes that while the hackathon successfully delivers a positive and meaningful learning experience, enhancing evaluation transparency and providing structured follow-up programs are crucial to strengthening its impact on the innovation ecosystem.
